Alaska Ready to Send Troops to US-Mexico Border

While the Governors of California and New Mexico have pulled National Guard troops from the US-Mexico border amid criticism of the White House – another state, farther north, says its troops stand ready to go.

Alaska’s new Republican Governor, Mike Dunleavy, issued a video message saying that his state’s soldiers would “stand ready to support the national security crisis on the U.S. southern border,” the Anchorage Daily News reports.

Though, currently, there is no active mobilization plan.
