Florida isn’t just number one in producing weird news stories; tourism officials say it leads the country in out-of-state visitors, too.

More than 126 million tourists visited Florida in 2018, according to Visit Florida, the state’s official tourism bureau. That figure marks a record high for the state, which has reported annual increases for eight consecutive years.

Of 2018’s visitors to the Sunshine State, 111.8 million were from other U.S. states, 10.8 million were from overseas and 3.5 were vacationing from Canada.
