Preckwinkle says Chicago is NOT a world-class city

In the race for mayor, Bill Cameron says Toni Preckwinkle made a surprising remark this morning at a City Club breakfast.

Whaddya think? Is Chicago a world-class city? Most mayors say yes! Toni Preckwinkle, who wants to be mayor, says no!
“It’s easy to call ourselves a world-class city, but Chicago won’t actually be a world class city until everyone who lives here – everyone who lives here – has the opportunity to build safe, prosperous and productive lives for themselves and their children.”

nd to help make that happen she made this promise: “As a candidate for mayor, I’m committed to a real plan to raise the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2021, three years before the state minimum reaches that level.”
