Millennials asking for mayoral mail-in ballots

In the race for mayor, Bill Cameron says election officials are predicting a big voter turnout.

Turnout for round one was a dismal 35%. Marisel Hernandez, who chairs the Board of Election Commissioner, is optimistic the April 2nd turnout will be much higher.
“I think we’re gonna break a record this time compared to the February election. The most interesting thing about the turnout is the millennial age group, 24-30 that’s coming out and applying to vote by mail. That’s very heartening.”

And most of those millennials are on the north side, which may be good news for Lori Lightfoot.
