Hoping to get their planes off the ground again, Boeing has announced upcoming safety changes to their troubled 737 Max 8 jets.

The biggest change is adding a cockpit warning light that previously was only available as an option that cost $80,000 extra. It was not installed on either of the planes involved in the recent deadly crashes, but Boeing says it will now be standard on all Max 8 jets.

Meanwhile, the FBI has now joined an investigation into how Max 8 planes were certified as safe in the first place. The safety changes could go into effect as early as next week.
