Disappointing voter turnout projected for city elections.

City elections are tomorrow and Bill Cameron says the projected turnout is about what it was in round one February 26th.
Once again only about one-third of registered voters are expected to turnout, according to election board chairwoman Marisel Hernandez.
“Based on the voting by mail and early voting turnout, we think we will be close to or at 35%.”
There’s a 65-65 factor operating here. In round one, 65% of registered voters failed to turnout and 65% who did voted for someone else who didn’t make the runoff. So the heavy lifting for Lightfoot and Preckwinkle is to try to persuade the 65% who didn’t vote them in round one, to turnout and vote for them in the runoff.
