Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she would ban all oil and gas drilling on public land if elected president.

In a blog post published on Monday, Warren called for a “total moratorium” on new drilling leases for government-owned property, saying “It is wrong to prioritize corporate profits over the health and safety of our local communities”.

Warren also said she would bring back Obama-era rules on greenhouse gas emissions and would aim for 10% of the nation’s electricity to come from renewable sources.
