Rep. Alexndria Ocasio-Cortez has been an avid user of social media while campaigning and after getting elected, but now she is going to be cutting back.

“I personally gave up Facebook, which was kind of a big deal because I started my campaign on Facebook,” she said. “Social media poses a public health risk to everybody.”

She will also be dialing back her use of Instagram and Twitter.

“I think it has effects on everybody. Increased isolation, depression, anxiety, addiction, escapism,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
