Anyone who’s worked as a server knows that every once in a while, a customer is brought the wrong item by mistake. But usually it doesn’t end up costing the restaurant thousands of dollars.

Earlier this week, a server at a Manchester, England steakhouse accidentally served a couple a rare bottle of wine worth thousands of dollars.

The customers ordered a $330 bottle of Bordeaux, but a manager grabbed the wrong bottle and instead opened up a 2001 Chateau Le Pin, Pomeroi, valued at over $5,800.

Fortunately for the manager, the restaurant forgave the mistake, tweeting “Chin up! One-off mistakes happen and we love you anyway”. As for the couple that got to enjoy a $6,000 bottle of wine? The restaurant said “hope you enjoyed your evening!”
