In a teary-eyed announcement today from outside Number 10 Downing Street, British Prime Minister Theresa May says she’ll resign June 7th.

The PM’s three-year term has been dominated by her unsuccessful efforts to come up with a Brexit plan Parliament will approve.

May said it’s now clear to her that it’s “in the best interest of the country for a new PM” to lead the effort to leave the E.U.
