ICE Deportation Raids To Begin Sunday

Put on hold last month, Immigration and Customs Enforcement is set to round up 2,000 immigrants in 10 major cities who have been ordered deported from the United States.

According to the New York Times , who spoke with one former and two current Department of Homeland Security officials, the raids will begin on Sunday.

Along with those on the list, Wednesday’s report says ICE agents can detain anyone illegally in the country who is caught nearby.

The agency did not confirm the operation citing safety concerns, but the acting director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Ken Cuccinelli, said the raids were “going to happen”.
