A would-be carjacker in Philadelphia was beaten to death by an angry mob after attempting to steal a car with three young children inside.
According to police, the thief jumped into the car after the childrens’ mother left it parked outside a pizzeria with the engine running.
The father to two of the children, who worked at the pizzeria, chased down the car on foot, pulled the 54-year-old thief out, and began punching and kicking him.
Other men from the neighborhood joined in the attack, leaving the thief unconcious when emergency crews arrived. He later died at the hospital.
Police have questioned the mother and father but have not yet decided if any charges will be filed.
