Gator Expert Toast of the Town

(CHICAGO) — It’s been a hero’s welcome for the Florida man who brought in the Humboldt Park alligator.

Years of experience came into play for Frank Robb, the St. Augustine gator expert who successfully snagged and brought in”Chance the Snapper” from the Humboldt Park Lagoon. He did so using a treble hook on a rod and reel.

Since the reptile rescue, Robb has been busy, posing for selfies with fans, switching on Buckingham Fountain and throwing out the first pitch at Wrigley Field.

“I was planning on getting in here low profile, doing my work and doing what God has gifted me with and kind of moving on [with] nobody knowing I was here,” Robb told The Mancow Show on WLS-AM 890. “This is a different outcome and about 10 times the blessing so its been a great visit here.”

As for the gator, animal control is working to transfer it to a sanctuary or a zoo.
