Postcard Mailed In 1993 Finally Arrives

Perhaps a message in a bottle would have been faster.

A postcard mailed out from Hong Kong in 1993 finally arrived at its destination in Illinois 26 years later. Unfortunately for whoever sent it, the recipients no longer live at that location.

When Kim Draper opened her mailbox on July 8, she saw the card addressed to Leena and Muhammad Ali Kizilbash, signed by “Dad,” who was “having a good time” at the time.

Draper, who has lived in the Springfield home with her family for the last 12 years, is now on a mission to find the piece’s rightful owners, which so far hasn’t turned up any leads. “I’d really like to meet them. I don’t want to just throw it in the mail,” she tells CNN .
