At least 33 people are dead and dozens more injured after an apparent arson attack at a Japanese animation studio.
The fire began Thursday morning when a 41-year-old man reportedly entered the Kyoto Animation studio and began dousing it with gasoline.
Authorities say the suspect, who was badly burned and is in custody, does not appear to have any connection to the studio, and his motives are unknown.
Kyoto Animation is known for a number of anime moves and shows. The fire is believed to be Japan’s deadliest arson case in more than 30 years.
