Boeing May Halt Max Production

(CHICAGO) — A double dose of bad news for Chicago based Boeing as they look at possibly shutting down production of the 737 Max and suffered second quarter loses.

Boeing’s CEO says the company may temporarily halt production of the Max if a return to the sky is delayed beyond October. The popular airliner has been grounded since two deadly crashes.

The news comes after the company reported second-quarter loses of nearly $3 billion and revenue dropped 35-percent.

The loss was expected. Boeing is still bracing for the possible financial impact of lawsuits filed by relatives of the victims of the two crashes.
