A fleeing fugitive was apprehended after some angry wasps lent a hand. But these were no superheroes, just ordinary wings insects.

On Monday, police in Germany were serving a warrant on a 32-year-old man, when he tried to make a break for it by jumping off a balcony.

Unfortunately, he crashed through a wasp nest. Running from the cloud of yellow jackets chasing him, the man sought refuge in an inflatable kiddy pool.

Cops caught up to the escapee and both were treated for stings.
