A 90-year-old South Carolina man has been charged with murdering his 83-year-old wife.

Police say Edwin Nelson Jr. shot and killed his wife Sarah, who was found dead in their home on Saturday.

Nelson, who had called police himself to report the shooting, was taken into custody. Investigators don’t yet know the motive behind the shooting.
