A Florida man has been arrested after sending text messages about his plans for a mass shooting.

Police say Tristan Scott Wix texted about his plans to open fire into a crowd, hoping to “break a world record” with at least 100 kills. He claimed to have a location picked out and said “I just wanna die and I wanna have fun doing it”.

After he was arrested in Daytona Beach, the 25-year-old Scott told police he didn’t possess any guns but was “fascinated” by mass shootings.
