The school year did not start well for some students at Clark Atlanta University.

On Tuesday night, 4 students were shot when a gunman opened fire on a group of people at a block party.

Atlanta Police Captain William Ricker said, “It appears there were two separate groups that were targeting each other, and these people were just caught in the crossfire.”

The female students that were shot have non-life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition. The shooting happened on the night before classes started. The shooter escaped and is still at large.
