Basketball legend and Charlotte Hornets chairman Michael Jordan is pledging $1 million dollars towards hurricane relief efforts in the Bahamas.

In a statement, Jordan said he was ‘devastated’ by the destruction from Hurricane Dorian and that he owns property in the Bahamas and visits the islands frequently.

Jordan says he’ll be ‘tracking the situation closely’ to identify charities were “the funds will have the most impact”.
