One man went a little too far fighting a simple traffic ticket.

71-year-old Richard Keedwell got a speeding violation for going 35 in a 30 mile-per-hour zone. It happened in England back in 2016.

The fine was for $120. Keedwell thought there was no way that he was speeding and hired investigators to help him appeal the ticket.

Multiple court appearances, two appeals and attorney’s fees wound up costing Keedwell $36,982. He said, “I regret the amount of money, I very simply wanted justice.”
