General Mills Flour Recall

Before you start getting into the swing of holiday baking, check the flour in your pantry. General Mills has issued a recall of some five-pound bags of flour over E. coli contamination.

While there haven’t been any consumer reports of sickness, General Mills is recalling five-pound bags of its Gold Medal Unbleached All-Purpose Flour with a “better if used by” date of September 6th, 2020.”

The FDA also wants to remind you that flour isn’t considered “a ready to eat product” since flour can contain raw bacteria. Between the flour and raw eggs, how is a person suppose to enjoy some raw cookie dough?
