A Pennsylvania state senator has been charged with possession of child pornography by the state’s Attorney General.

State Sen. Mike Folmer was charged Tuesday after authorities found illicit images on his phone while executing a search warrant. Investigators were acting on a tip from the website Tumblr that someone had used their app to upload child pornography.

Folmer, a Republican, has served in the Pennsylvania senate since 2006. State Attorney General Josh Shapiro said Tuesday that “No one is above the law, no matter what position of power they hold”.
