Matt Lauer Accused Of Raping Colleague In New Ronan Farrow Book

A new book by #MeToo journalist Ronan Farrow includes explosive allegations against former Today show host Matt Lauer.

In the book, Lauer’s former NBC News colleague Brooke Nevils claims she was raped by Lauer in his hotel room at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

Nevils says she went to Lauer’s room after drinking at the hotel bar, and declined his advances “several times” before Lauer “just did it”, leaving her experiencing pain and bleeding for days afterwards. She later had more sexual encounters with Lauer that she described as “completely transactional”.

It was Nevils’ complaint that led to Lauer’s firing in 2017, but her identity had not been revealed until now. Lauer has not yet responded to the allegations.
