Device hopes to prevent hot car deaths

49 children have died in hot cars so far in 2019, according to KidsandCars.org.

A new device hopes to prevent such deaths. The eClip attaches to your baby’s car seat and pairs with your smartphone.

eClip constantly reminds you that your child is in the car while also monitoring temperature. And sends an alarm if you get more than about 25 feet away.

More than 800 kids have died as a result of being left in hot cars since 1998.
