The 2019 Stanley Cup-winning St Louis Blues took the traditional trip to the White House on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate their first-ever NHL championship.

Players met with the president in the Oval Office for a tour of the building before appearing in a Rose Garden introductory press conference.

Joining the team for the visit was super fan Laila Anderson, who cheered them on despite a rare, life-threatening immune disorder called hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

“You inspired the Blues all season and today you continue to inspire all Americans,” said the president, who was presented a custom Blues jersey with the number 45 on the back.
