Bring Your Child To Work Day took on a new meaning as one Popeyes employee enlisted his young son to help dish out the chain’s popular new chicken sandwiches.

A customer at a location in The Colony, Texas captured video footage of the boy, believed to be about 8-years-old, mixing the flour for the batter while donning an apron and sneakers.

The company wasn’t too happy, especially since it’s against federal and state labor laws to put a minor to work, and had the employee fired.

The person who shot the video told Inside Edition the restaurant was packed with customers.
