It’s sounding like Secretary of State Mike Pompeo might be the next top White House official to make an exit.

According to a new report from Time, Pompeo is planning to leave the White House to run for Senate in Kansas.

While Pompeo was reportedly planning to stick around until next spring, he may depart sooner than that over concerns that the impeachment inquiry might hurt his reputation.

Pompeo has served as Secretary of State since April of 2018 when he took over for Rex Tillerson.
