Former Massachusetts Senator and Secretary of State John Kerry is endorsing Joe Biden for the 2020 Democratic nomination.

Kerry said there has “never been a time more urgent for leadership” and called Biden “uniquely the person running for president who can beat Donald Trump”.

Kerry, who served alongside Biden in the Obama administration from 2012-16, will campaign on Biden’s behalf in both Iowa and New Hampshire this weekend.
