According to numbers from recent investigations, over 600 poor Pakistani girls and women were sold as brides to Chinese men in a two year period.

A list compiled by Pakistani investigators reveals that 629 girls and women were victims of various trafficking networks.

Unfortunately, due to pressure from government officials fearful of hurting Pakistan’s ties to Beijing, the aggressive drive against the networks has largely come to a halt.
