A 15-year-old Texas teen has died from a vaping-related lung illness – the youngest such victim yet in the U.S.

The teen, who has not been identified, died last month in Dallas County, TX.

Since last year, the U.S. has seen 57 deaths and more than 2,600 illness associated with what researchers now call EVALI – E-cigarette or vaping associated lung injury.

Last week, the FDA announced a ban on the sale of flavored vaping pods often used by teens.
