“Construction” starts at Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 with the arrival of the Little Builders exhibition. Aimed at teaching children the ropes of a builder’s world, the new science exhibition uses interactive activities and construction scenarios to teach children about building. Little Builders encourages children to use the tools offered in their own unique way, giving them the chance to grow creatively and allowing them to personalize their experience. As part of the Little Builders exhibition, children are given the opportunity to dress in a hard hat and orange safety vest before entering the exhibit. For added fun and a more genuine role-playing experience, children are also given a push cart and orange cones to use during their time in the exhibit. The exhibition closes Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.
