(ST. CHARLES) A west suburban man was sentenced to nine years in prison Friday for admitting to having sexual contact with two children under 13.
Antonio Gomez, 26, of Aurora, agreed to the nine-year sentence in exchange for pleading guilty to one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child, according to the Kane County State’s Attorney’s office. Judge Susan Clancy Boles accepted the plea.
Gomez admitted that from January 2007 until February 2011, he had sexual contact with both of the victims, whom he knew, and who were younger than 13 at the time, according to prosecutors.
The sentences, six years for the predatory criminal sexual assault and three years for aggravated criminal sexual abuse must be served consecutively, and by law, Gomez must serve 85 percent of the sentence for the predatory assault charge.
Gomez, who must register for life as a sex offender, was given credit for at least 633 days served in the Kane County Jail, where he had been held on a $3 million bond.
