A 6-month-old girl and a man were shot Monday in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

 

The shooting occurred at 12:48 p.m. in the 6500 block of South Maryland Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Daniel Sullivan said.

 

A man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and a 6-month-old girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said. Both were in critical condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

 

No one was in custody and Area Central detectives are investigating.
