(CHICAGO) State Senator Bill Brady, the Republican candidate for governor who Pat Quinn narrowly beat in 2010, is sounding like he'll run again in 2014.
Bill Brady of Bloomington all but announced for governor at a safe streets news conference here in Chicago.
“Truth is known that I’ve been traveling around the state at the request of thousands of people to finish the job we started a couple of years ago,” Brady said. “We lost that race by 16,000 votes and although this certainly isn’t the time for a formal announcement, we anticipate there will be one in June or after the legislative session has adjourned.”
But, Brady may have a tougher time getting the Republican nomination in 2014 because we will probably see fewer moderate candidates cannibalizing each other.
