(CHICAGO) Aldermen approved six months in jail and a thousand-dollar fine for some of the crimes that ruin quality of life. Things like public drunkenness and urinating in public.
During the debate, West Side Alderman Jason Ervin was all for it.
“We’re tired of dealing with this sort of nonsense in our community,” Ervin said.
Also in the City Council, the aldermen approved the mayor’s tax hike on longer off-street parking rates and controversial digital billboards at the airports.
