Story by 89 WLS Reporter Bill Cameron
(CHICAGO) Chicago's 9-1-1 center has a statement on the Boston explosions.
The mayor’s office of emergency management is on the case. In a statement it says, “We are closely monitoring events as they unfold in Boston and the City of Chicago’s public safety departments are actively communicating with our law enforcement partners both locally and throughout the country. At this time, there is no known threat to Chicago.”
First responders were reminded, as always, to use caution when responding to suspicious persons or activity.
