Story by 89 WLS Reporter Bill Cameron
City Hall's Inspector General Joe Ferguson is standing up to Mayor Emanuel again and he did it here at 89 WLS-AM Friday afternoon.
The inspector general says he’s disappointed with the mayor.
Emanuel resisted one of Ferguson’s subpoenas and the state Supreme Court sided with Rahm.
While taping Connected to Chicago for Sunday morning at 6, Ferguson said that tells you something.
“It just simply put on the table the question of whether the mayor was going to follow through on the promises he made when he was running for office. Disappointed, but it appears he is dedicated to the notion of not following through on those promises.”
As you can imagine, the mayor is not expected to re-appoint the inspector general in September.
