Story by 89 WLS reporter Bill Cameron
(CHICAGO) After President Obama's speech at Argonne National Labratory, Senator Durbin reflected on if he thinks Congress will approve the $2 billion energy trust fund Obama wants.

"I can understand the reluctance is gonna be from the oil companies that frankly don't want to pay more and from some who would like to see this money diverted to other purposes," Durbin said. "But there's a good linkage with the money that's coming off of public lands currently being drilled for gas and oil going into a trust fund on energy efficiency and new energy opportunities. I think it's a good linkage."

However, he said he can't be sure of anything when it comes to Washington.
