
Firefighters were going through every floor of a 27-story Streeeterville high-rise Friday morning following an extra-alarm fire that injured one person.

The fire started on the 7th floor of the building at 230 E. Ontario St. and was raised to a two-alarm blaze just before 11:30 a.m., fire officials said.
The fire was reportedly out as of about 11:50 a.m., according to dispatch reports. Firefighters were going through every floor of the building conducting well-being searches.
One person was taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to Fire Media Affairs.
According to dispatch reports, a couple streets around the scene of the fire were filled with fire equipment and traffic was backed up in the area. The CTA did not immediately have any details on bus reroutes.
