Illinois Senator Dick Durbin and congressman Luis Gutierrez rate the chances for the latest version of immigration reform at only 50-50.

The latest version would give illegal immigrants a path to citizenship after they pay a fine and back taxes, but only after the borders are secured.

Here's why Durbin rates the chances in the Senate as only 50-50, "This is not easy, we're doing something that is hard politically and there are going to be those who push back."

Gutierrez said, "You know, we could win or we could lose this one. That's the way I look at it."

But both of them say chances were less than 50-50 before the election where Hispanics were so influential.
