A southwest suburban man’s body was found in Lake Michigan Friday afternoon on the South Side.

 

Pis Mieczylsan, 74, was found in the lake near 95th Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

 

Emergency crews recovered the body about 3:20 p.m., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez said.

 

Mieczylsan, of the 6500 block of West 82nd in Burbank, was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:40 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

 

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, the medical examiner’s office said.

 

The police Marine Unit is investigating.
