(MAYWOOD) A man was shot and killed in west suburban Maywood Saturday night.

 

Police found David Allen, 33, in the backyard of a residence in the 400 block of South 10th Avenue about 11 p.m., village spokesman Larry Shapiro said. He had three gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen and leg.

 

Allen, of the 800 block of South Third Avenue, was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood at 11:20 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

 

It is the first homicide of the year in Maywood, Shapiro said.

 

No one is in custody and Maywood police are investigating.
