Mayor Emanuel has just announced he's on the verge of proposing more gun control.

Mayor Emanuel is promising to propose a new round of gun control in the city soon, but he's playing it coy and won't say what it will be, "I can do certain things in the city. We're gonna take those steps and push to do that. You'll see that in the coming days so that gives you some suspense. I can't wait for that! The second thing though on that basis, it doesn't mean that Springfield gets a pass or Washington gets a pass."

And while a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazine clips fizzled in Springfield last week, Emanuel claimed the votes will be there for it when everybody shows up for a vote.
