(NAPERVILLE) An early Christmas fire caused more than $125,000 in damage to a west suburban Naperville home.

A resident at 27W140 96th Court in Naperville called 911 at 4:22 a.m. to report the house was on fire, according to a Naperville release.

Firefighters found heavy amounts of smoke and flames coming from the attached two-car garage, the release said. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which was primarily confined to the garage with some extension to the attic.

Nobody was injured.

The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation, the release said. The Will County Building Department will make a determination if the home will remain habitable, the release said.

The general alarm brought 10 pieces of fire apparatus and 24 fire personnel, the release said. Naperville police and the Will County sheriff’s office assisted.
