(CHICAGO) Still no deal to renovate Wrigley Field, and there are two new issues in the way of a deal.
Congestion created by the hotel complex the Cubs are promising and the possibility of a new Cubs parking garage at Clark & Grace are the two new issues snagging a deal.
Wrigleyville Alderman Tom Tunney says he’s told the Cubs the remote parking at a new garage ought to be free.
“My suggestion was since you’ve been trying this for ten years and it’s like $6 an this 20-minute ride, how do you possibly (provide) free remote parking!” Tunney said.
He couldn’t divulge developments on the signs the Cubs want inside the ballpark, but he said “we’re gonna have to go back to the landmark commission.”
