(CHICAGO) Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) found himself part of the White House GOP outreach when he picked up the phone Monday night to hear President Obama on the other end.
According to Kirk's tweet, the two talked about gang violence and international issues in addtion to bipartisan budget solutions.
Obama had previously reached out to 12 GOP senators, dining with them last Wednesday night.
