WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is on the threshold of his second term and the overriding theme of his next four years seems to be this: assuring that America is a place where anyone can make it.

There is no moonshot here, no call to end tyranny in our time.

What Obama wants his legacy to be is that he delivered a better life for the people struggling in the richest nation on earth.

His second-term agenda is a wish list in support of that idea.

Obama wants to overhaul immigration policies, retool the tax system to make it fairer and funnel more money to education and energy. He also wants to curb gun violence.
