(WAUKEGAN) A north suburban Waukegan man and woman have been indicted by a Lake County grand jury on aggravated kidnapping and aggravated unlawful restraint charges.

 

Jerimiah Cochran, 33, and Natilie Myers, 32, are accused of bashing Cochran’s ex-girlfriend in the head with a glass bottle then confining her against her will at a residence in the 1400 block of 16th Street in North Chicago from Jan. 25 to Jan. 26, according to court records.

 

The female victim had an order of protection against Cochran that expires May 8, 2014, according to court documents. Cochran was ordered not to come within 500 feet of his ex-girlfriend. He acknowledged there had been “an abusive relationship” after the woman testified he punched her and choked her, according to court documents.

 

Cochran was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault for allegedly forcing sex acts upon the woman while she was being held against her will, according to court documents. He faces six to 30 years in prison if he is convicted of the sexual assault.

 

Cochran and Myers face six to 30 years in prison if convicted of aggravated kidnapping charge, three to seven years in prison if convicted of kidnapping and two to five years in prison if convicted of aggravated unlawful restraint.

 

Cochran was also charged with aggravated battery for a separate incident May 30 in which he allegedly bashed the same woman in the head with a glass bottle. He faces two to five years in prison if convicted.

 

Cochran is in custody in lieu of $1 million bond. He is due for arraignment March 7.

 

Myers is in custody in lieu of $250,000 bond. She is due for arraignment March 5.

 

She was arrested in 2008 and received 18 months supervision for attempted unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
